A woman and her toddler son died on Saturday after falling six storeys from a concourse before a baseball game in San Diego, with horrified fans watching on and police treating their deaths as suspicious. A boating accident occurred and both men were killed instantly. The Indians were doubly devastated at the death of two teammates in the same accident. Arky Vaughn was a major league baseball player, who had played for years with both the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Vaughan was inducted into the Hall of Fame for his baseball talent, and the entire sport was greatly saddened when Vaughan drowned.
Minnie Rojas was a major league relief pitcher, and a good one. That all changed in , when a car accident happened. Rojas and all three of his children were in the car, and two of the three children died. The third child had significant injuries, and Rojas suffered from permanent paralysis as well. His career was ended and he lost two of his children in the accident. Donnie Moore had a bright future in baseball, but all that ended in tragedy.
Moore attempted to murder his wife. Moore first shot her and then shot himself in what was meant to be a tragic murder suicide.
Lyman Bostock is included in the list of top 10 baseball tragedies. While driving through Gary, Indian, Bostock stopped at a traffic light.
